WoodStraw® engineered woodstrand mulch is an all wood material composed of long-strand 100% organic material that is manufactured to exacting specifications. This material has a rough texture which helps to hold the applied matrix on steep slopes and prevent displacement in high winds.There are no seeds so there is no introduction of non-native or invasive plants.

There is also no agricultural chemical residue which includes herbicides, pesticides and nutrients which are detrimental to a native plant ecosystem and insect survival which is critical to wildlife habitat. This long-strand soil erosion control mulch is a blend of geometrically regular wood elements that have a straw-like form and function. The materials are baled in green or air-dried condition and are inherently free of noxious weed seeds and other chemicals/additives detrimental to plant life.
